Welcome to Northwest Center Kids at Chinook!
We serve children with and without developmental disabilities from 6 weeks to 5 years of age in our inclusive programs:
- Early Intervention Services: serving eligible children until their 3rd birthday
- Inclusive early learning programs and full day childcare
We believe that all children are entitled to high quality childcare in a nurturing environment. We believe play, independent thinking, problem solving and self-initiated experiences are keys to healthy development. We honor diversity of all kinds—including the abilities, races, ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, marital status or ages of kids and their families. We strive to be culturally sensitive to all families, respecting their values and sharing the diverse population we serve.
Parents and families are vital partners in children’s education and growth. We strive to be culturally relevant and work together to meet the needs of families, as well as children. We have an open door policy, and parents are welcome to spend time in their children’s classrooms. We offer parent support activities, trainings and social events throughout the year to build a strong school community.
We serve a vegetarian and nut free menu that meets USDA food program requirements. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are provided. View our current menu.
*The USDA food program is available to eligible children without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against in any USDA-related activity should write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture.
